Lacrosse Apparel Update

The screened t-shirts are in and ready to pass out at the games on Tues, the embroidered items will be available in approximately 1 week.  Christine will have more info when she returns from vacation.  Thanks for your cooperation in getting your order forms and checks in so quickly.  We had a great response from both teams.  Once again, a big thank you to the Riches for taking this on.

Awesome T-Shirts By Coach Brian

Coach Brian has finished his PV LAX t-shirt design and you’re going to love it.  As the boys would say, it’s “totally sick!”

			Jill Cigliano will be taking orders so look for an e-mail with the details regarding price, sizes, shirt style, who to make checks payable to, etc.  She will be asking for a really quick turn-around for placing orders so Brian can get the shirts printed ASAP.

Also, many thanks to the players, coaches, and parents for your extra efforts and patience in supporting the photo shoot off campus at Bluff Cove.  Some of you had difficulty finding the location and others managing the walk down the path with injuries.  Hopefully the quality of photos will make these inconveniences worthwhile.  We wanted to capture the beautiful Palos Verdes landscape that represents our community instead of the dead weeds and metal storage containers that have served as our photo background in years past.  FYI, the photo packages are typically distributed after the season has concluded.

Sea King LAX Community Service – Families Helping Families

21^st Annual Richstone Pier-to-Pier Walkathon

Come show your Sea King spirit of family by joining your teammates, coaches, and lacrosse family members at the Richstone Walk-a-thon on Saturday morning, April 26^th.  Coach Lane, Coach Xander and Coach Brian believe that a true winning team is one that gives their time, energy and support to those in need.

Richstone Family Center provides prevention and treatment services for victims of child abuse.  If we collect $1,700.00 - that's only 68 bodies (boys, coaches, friends and family members) at 25.00 each for registration - we will be providing one year of counseling for a child impacted by abuse.

Everyone will meet in the parking lot below Shellbacks at 7:30 a.m. - if you're looking at the pier it's the lot on the left hand side.

Riptide Lacrosse Opening Night

We have been invited to attend the L.A. Riptide opening game which will be played in the Galaxy Soccer Stadium at the Home Depot Center on Sunday, May 25^th, 2008 at 7:00 pm.  Palos Verdes families would get special pricing for tickets, and the players would possibly get the opportunity to escort the Riptide players onto the field and/or play on the field at halftime.  It should definitely be a fun time.

Please take a moment to reply and let us know if this is something you would enjoy doing so we can get back to the Riptide Rep.  So far we have heard from 16 families, 10 are a go, 6 will be out of town.  More input would be helpful.

Senior College Commitments

Congrats to all of our seniors for their outstanding college acceptances, we are very proud you.  Don’t forget to let Sarah Smith know when you make your decision on where to go.  So far, Gavin Fodemski will be attending University of Kansas and Nolan Semel will be attending Bryant University.
